UMVULENI AFRICAN SAFARIS is situated only 200km from Port Elizabeth airport close to Bedford. This Malaria free area offers more than 30 huntable species for the hunter.

Rooted in a rich family legacy that spans 150 years, our business is more than just a hunting safari – it's a tradition passed down through generations. Pieter and Gideon, a father-and-son team, grew up immersed in the world of hunting. As both an operator and guide, Pieter brings over two decades of expertise in the field. His specialization lies in African game species, particularly Kudu and Cape Buffalo. With his vast knowledge and exceptional tracking skills, Pieter turns your hunting dreams into a reality.

Having guided clients from around the world, Pieter is well-versed in leading hunts for various plains game species as well as the prestigious "dangerous seven," including the renowned Big Five, crocodile, and hippo. As your host in South Africa, Pieter guarantees not only a successful hunt but also an experience marked by superior food quality, exceptional hunting services, and expert guidance throughout.

GIDEON DE KLERK

Gideon grew up on his father’s game farm and began hunting at a young age, first with air rifles for birds and then upgrading to larger game species. As he became older, he began taking local hunters out on safaris, eventually acquiring his PH license on an in-depth Professional Hunter Course.

For Gideon, hunting is not a sport, not a job, not a hobby - hunting is in his blood...Gideon has a passion for bow hunting. The thrill lies in the challenge of getting up close to his prey. Walk and stalk hunting is his preferred method—a slow, deliberate approach that tests both his patience and skill.
